Personal Phone Coaching – What is That?
Personal phone coaching… what is that? In an electronic day and age where the world is getting smaller, why shouldn’t we, as professionals, have access to professional coaching via telephone? As a rural training Registrar, my interest was sparked and I desired to find out more.
The chance to discover the possible benefits of personal phone coaching enticed me when I was offered the opportunity to partake in a 20 minute power coaching session with Dr Angela Nguyen from Infinity Success Coaching. I had little idea of what I could expect to achieve in such a short time-frame, particularly with someone I’d never met before. Nevertheless, I arranged a convenient time to see if I could find out more about what power coaching could offer.
Sitting at home on a Wednesday evening, I made the call. Initially it seemed somewhat foreign talking to someone I’d never met about issues affecting me, but I soon found that the lack of face-to-face contact really didn’t matter and in a way perhaps meant I could open up more. Angela had a great way of getting to the issues at heart in a short time frame. I also found that the session really challenged me and gave my brain a real work-out, as I discovered things about myself that I had never realised previously. As we were getting deeper into the issues involved I found myself wondering how the session would conclude without this all being left half up in the air, like I’m waiting for the end of some drama series that will never come. I was pleasantly surprised when Angela wrapped up the session with a great conclusion and some solutions that I hadn’t considered previously. The session definitely packed the “power coaching session” title which Angela had given it.
If you are a busy professional and want an opportunity to stretch yourself, to define whatever it is you would like to achieve and really look at the mental obstacles that are getting in the way, then power coaching is for you. Angela has some great options available.
